Fall is a wonderful time to do your senior photos. The problem with it being a wonderful time to do photos is that a lot of seniors wait to do them until this time frame and portrait session slots fill up with most of the photographers that do them! In Colorado the senior yearbook photo submissions are also usually due early Fall with some even being due as early as September! I haven’t really be advertising my senior sessions in the past few years because the return on investment hasn’t been very high for me so consequently I do an average of 5-10 a year, but this also allows me to really personalize the service I give to my clients… helping them choose a location or locations that fits the personality of the soon to be graduate is important as well as incorporating interests of young adult in their photos to capture this special moment in their life!

Evan’s mom, Michelle purchased raffle tickets to receive a free session from me at one of the many charities that I choose yearly to donate our services too. She told me that the organization had a system of where you could put your tickets under the service you most wanted and since she really wanted a senior portrait session with me she put all of her tickets in the bucket under what I donated! And it paid off. Evan wanted to go one of his favorite locations to hike at and so we set-up a plan to go there and one other park near by that I knew had more trees at. I had a blast doing this shoot and we got some amazing photos! Enjoy!
