Archive for Family Portraits

Don’t you just love Spring? And Spring babies are the best! Fresh and new to the world and super adorable! This young man has three older siblings to help him on his way. I’m so excited to share images from Cole’s newborn portrait shoot! What a cutie!

Summertime is my favorite time of year to do family portraits! And we were lucky enough to have Cole’s 9 Month Milestone photo-shoot come up in August this year to take advantage of the warm days! I think this was out best session yet with all of the boys! Kids are always having more fun when they can run around a bit in between poses and backdrops. Little Cole is getting so big already! I can’t wait to do his final session in November to celebrate his one year birthday! Enjoy the photos!

Spring has sprung and had so many great images from Cole’s six month portrait session with his family that I just had to share a lot! Cuties! All of them! We were lucky to get some of the crab-apple blossoms at the park before they started to blow off the trees! Yeah! This is my favorite time of year although it’s not for my allergies! If it wasn’t for those pesky sniffles I’d be outside all day everyday! Enjoy these awesome photos! ~Jamie

Back with Therese, Mike & their one year old Owen to capture this huge milestone in his life! We did an indoor portrait session at their home one slightly snowy day in February. Even their puppy joined in for some really adorable shots!

When Winter is in full effect you have to come up with some clever indoor ideas when you want to do family portraits. I photographed Cole and his family for his three month old session in his home in Highlands Ranch. I had fun incorporating his brother in some of the shots, when they would cooperate! As far as kids go though the Hickman’s are one of the easiest families to work with even on their off days! Since I’ve been doing the one year package with each child (this consists of a portrait shoot every three months the first year of their lives) they are becoming old pros at having their picture taken! I loved that we also incorporated more of a theme on this one because it was so close to Valentine’s Day! Super cute!

Just some adorable photos from the newborn session with one of my favorite families to photograph! Welcome to the world baby, Cole… Darcy will have her hands full with three lovable and I’m sure very energetic boys! Looking forward to our year long / every three month sessions to document the growth of this precious baby’s first year! Stay tuned for more photos to come!

Here are some of my favorite shots from Owen & Therese’s Mommy & Me shoot! What a cutie and look at all of that hair! Taking photos of six month old babies is my absolute favorite age to photograph! Why? Because they are just starting to sit up, you can still put them in cute containers, and most of them smile at just about anything! Pair that with a gorgeous mamma and it makes for one stinking cute photo-shoot!

I also really love it when a client returns to me after we photograph their wedding because I get to see how their family grows and sometimes it’s the only way we stay in contact because of hectic lives. So congrats again to Mike & Therese on their little bundle of joy!

Angie and Chris were some of my earliest clients and best supporters of my business over the years. It’s been 11 years since I took their last family photo!! Can you believe it? The last time all of the kids were just little ones… I remember because Jayden was 6. He held up six fingers in one of their photos. I’m not sure if it was because of his age or because the year was 2006. So my last photo of the day was recreating that photo. This time Jayden held up a 7… because he’s 17 and it’s 2017! Crazy how time flies. I’m so happy I was able to finally photograph this family again!

One other item I want to mention is Chris is on the donor list waiting for a new kidney and pancreas. There is a fund set up on Go Fund me to help with the medical costs and they are also hoping a live donor might be a match for him. If you would like to donate to their fund please go here:

https://www.gofundme.com/new-kidneypancreas-for-chris

or if you are interested in being considered for a live donor https://www.uchealth.org/services/transplant-services/living-donation/ Once there, you just click “Become A Living Donor” and it will ask you several questions from there. One very important piece it will ask is your “donor type.” You want to do “named recipient” and then enter in Chris’s information, be sure to spell his last name right Padia (No L’s!) His birthday is 7-1-1974. From there, you are asked several questions and to give some information about yourself.

Here are a few things to remember if you are considering living donation:
  • The entire process is kept confidential. Chris and Angie will not know who is going through the process until there is a perfect match. That is the only time we are told any names of possible donors.
  • All testing and transplant will go through our insurance, so no need to worry about the financial end of it.
  • Donors must be age 18 or older.
  • Any blood type is encouraged to start the process

Thanks for considering helping out an amazing family!

Just received this baby announcement in the mail from a family that I photographed this Spring! I always love it when the family send me their photo announcement, holiday card, etc. with the photos I took on it. It makes my heart happy to see they are just excited about their images as I am!

Here is another one of my favorite families that I have been photographing for quite a while! I started with their engagement portraits, then their wedding and now through four children! The time has flown by because it feels like I just did their wedding! Jillian informed me that this baby is their last one (but who knows they make adorable children) so this might be my last newborn session with them! What a cute little monkey to welcome into this world! Here’s to many more years of fun, cute family photos!
